TBMs and Their Fake Friendships

Back in the days of being a TBM, I befriended a lot of people in my student ward. A lot of these people kept insisting that they thought I was "such an amazing friend", and that they "don't know what they would do without me". All of this bullshit was just a bunch of lies, and I came to realize that most die hard TBMs don't really give a damn about their friendships!

In 2007, a girl whom I will call Carrie went out of her way to befriend me. We would talk a lot, and she always told me that I was "her favorite person". At the time, I couldn't help but sense that she was being extremely in-genuine. Then when she moved out of the ward, she stopped responding to my emails, and never returned my calls! I thought to myself, "I knew it!"

In 2006, I became friends with a girl whom I will call Julie. She was a DIE HARD TBM who would defend the General Authorities even if they started asking parents for their 14 year old daughters today. She was obsessed with the Church. She always said that she loved being my friend, and thought I was such a cool person. Then when she left the ward, she stopped responding to my emails and never returned my calls! I thought, "Is this a pattern amongst die hard TBMs?"

In the summer of 2007, I became good friends with a girl whom I will call Audrey. I was her home-teacher for about six months, and she always seemed excited to see me and talk to me. Then when she left the ward, she stopped returning my emails, and eventually deleted me as a friend on Facebook. I thought, "Yeah, this is a pattern."

In the Fall of 2008, one of my Facebook friends saw that I joined a group AGAINST Proposition 8. She emailed me, "Do you even know what Proposition 8 is?" implying that she was enraged that I would dare go against the brethren. I will call this girl Rachelle. She deleted me as a friend on Facebook very shortly after. Ever since, when I have seen her, she has avoided looking at me, and looked as if she only wanted to get as far away from me as possible. Prior to this, she thought I was cool, and always talked to me when she had the chance. Yes, there is a pattern!

Over the past couple years, I have been amazed by how many of my Facebook friends, whom I thought were "good friends" have deleted me for no apparent reason whatsoever. I would understand if they got married, but they are still SINGLE! You want to know why they did all this? Because they are DIE HARD TBMs, and they are full of shit when they make statements about how much they enjoy being your friend, and they don't give a damn about you! They will judge the hell out of you if you do anything to indicate that you are not 100 percent in your being Mormon, and will alienate you as much as they can!

Take my advice. If you are currently in the Church for family or social reasons, but not devoted, and you have friends that seem a little obsessive with their love for the Mormon Church, just stop being their friend right then and there! Delete them on Facebook, avoid talking to them, and don't waste your time believing any lies that they enjoy your friendship. The truth is they are lying to you, and once they move, or you lose contact with them, they won't give a damn about you anymore.

Why would you want to have a friend who is constantly in-genuine, and will end up deleting you on Facebook anyway? You make the move!

LDS Church Fined For False Prop 8 Reports!

The Mormon Church has finally been fined for their false reporting of financial involvement in the passing of Proposition 8.

California » State agency seeking $5,539 for breaking election law.

The LDS Church has agreed to pay a fine to California for failing to report, on time, contributions the Utah-based faith made in fall 2008 to help overturn gay marriage in the Golden State.

The California Fair Political Practices Commission's staff has determined the LDS Church violated the state's political-contributions law in the days leading up to passage of Proposition 8. The agency has proposed a $5,539 fine, representing 15 percent of the $36,928 in contributions to the "Yes on 8" campaign that the LDS Church did not report on time.

The commission will vote Thursday on whether to approve the penalty.

"The church appreciates the fairness and consideration with which the Fair Political Practices Commission has addressed this oversight," LDS Church spokesman Scott Trotter said in a statement. "In the last two weeks leading up to the election, the church mistakenly overlooked the daily reporting requirement and instead reported those contributions together in a later filing."

That statement is a damn lie! They purposely hid their involvement as much as they possibly could, just to avoid having to pay taxes, and claiming they don't get involved with politics! The Mormon Church is responsible for Proposition 8's passing! They are homophobic, and completely involved in politics!

Fred Karger, who filed the original complaint with the commission, said Tuesday the fine validates his allegations that the LDS Church tried to "cover up" its role in banning same-sex marriage in California.

"They have absolutely every right -- as any religious organization, any individual, any business owner, union, whomever -- to be involved," he said. "But they must comply with the law if they are going to be involved in politics. That's what they've been covering up."

Trotter insisted the church reported all "institutional contributions" to the "appropriate authorities in California." The church waited until Jan. 30, 2009 -- months after the Prop 8 vote -- to report $134,774 of the $189,904 it spent on the campaign. The money went to "Yes on 8" leader ProtectMarriage.com.

"Claims that the church misrepresented its contributions to the ProtectMarriage Coalition are false," Trotter said.

Trotter, you are as much as a lying asshole as any of the Quorum of the 12 are! You know you're lying, and you are trying to reduce the Church's sentence as much as possible! Just admit that your damn cult hates gays and will go to any measures to make sure they don't get rights!

Roman Porter, the commission's executive director, said Tuesday there are not any additional outstanding complaints against the LDS Church for its financial reporting on Prop 8. The agreement for the fine, he noted, addresses "all of the issues" related to Karger's complaint, which included additional charges of under-reporting by the church.

The Human Rights Campaign, a national gay-rights group, praised the commission and Karger.

"It's just not credible that a multibillion-dollar, sophisticated organization like the LDS Church didn't know or understand the election-law requirements," Joe Solmonese, HRC president, said in a statement. "California requires early disclosure so voters know who's behind these referendum fights and, clearly, the Mormon Church worked overtime to keep their full involvement hidden from the people of California."

Amen Joe. There is no way that such an organization could possibly be so ignorant as to what election-law requirements are.

The First Presidency issued a *confidential letter* to Church members back in September 2008, asking all members to make phone calls to promote voting "yes" for Proposition 8. In that letter, they asked that we not reveal that they instructed us to do so, as they are not supposed to be involved in this.

Before you knew it, several members of our stake were planning trips to go over to California and campaign Prop 8!

Later on, AFTER Proposition 8 passed, the Church LIED once again (surprised?), and said all they did was call people, and tell them to vote. JUST TO VOTE! I mean, come on! What a bunch of bullshit!

I am constantly amazed at what this cult does to try to cover up its lies and deception!

Facebook's Mormon Groups

The most popular mormon groups on Facebook are run by hard core nazi mormons who delete any post that is the least bit controversial! I can tell them right now that investigators wanting information about the Church, who ask about clarification on controversial issues will view their inability for discussion as a go ahead to abandon the entire process!

I am deeply disturbed by a certain reality within Mormonism. Let me explain:

I have suffered from anxiety my whole life, and have done my best to be as faithful as I can. But I decided that serving a mission would be a bad idea for me.

I am bothered by members of the Church, as well as leaders, who lecture individuals who choose not to go on a mission, and try to get them to change their minds. How is this being Christian?

I think that most men who go on a mission go for the wrong reasons, such as cultural pressure, family pressure, and even ecclesiastical pressure.

I believe that Church Leaders need to change their position on this issue, and state that missions are optional, and that members should stop discriminating about individuals who choose not to go.

I believe that when President Hinckley announced in General Conference that all worthy young males who are able should go on a mission was a mistake, and has created a lot of unnecessary pain amongst individuals who are disabled, or cannot go for reasons of sin.

Bottom line: A mission is not for everybody. The Church needs to stop teaching that it is.

Jacob, there is nothing wrong in trying to get someone to change their minds. The Lord is quite clear that he expects every worthy and able young male to serve. Those who are able and worthy yet choose not to, are breaking a very serious commandment, so naturally people will be concerned. Try and be more patient towards people. Their heart is in the right place, but all are human.

If you have a reason, such as a medical or psychological problem, or have serious family issues, then you aren't expected to serve. I have a friend who would love to serve, but he is the only source of financial and emotional support for his mother, who is in very poor health. The mission president told him to stay home and care for her.

Having served a mission, I can tell you that the majority of people I served with went on a mission for the right reason. There were those who went because of cultural and family pressure, but they were far from being a majority or even a significant presence.

Missions are NOT optional. The Lord has stated so himself and through his servants the prophets.

Andy, that someone might get offended does not change the fact that they are breaking a very serious commandment. Are we to wink at wickedness in order not to hurt feelings?

To clear up any confusion, I should mention that I am not imposing on these discussion boards to raise controversy, or to attack personal beliefs. All I am doing is trying to convince members of the Church to be more Christlike towards individuals who feel isolated from their own religion.

I am pointing out things about the Church that need to be improved to fulfill the mission of the LDS Church, which members and leaders are frankly, far from.

Jesus Christ would not run the LDS Church the way general authorities, Church leaders, and members run it today. There are too many people who feel out of place, and feel they cannot voice their opinions, for fear of discipline.

All I am doing is trying to let my voice be heard, in behalf of all church members who feel isolated, and alone in their thinking.

If any of you can honestly say that it is okay to reject individuals, just because they did not serve a mission, have differing views on doctrine, struggle with same gender attraction, or think intellectually, then you severely misunderstand the mission of the LDS Church.

If LDS Missionaries are allowed to intervene in the lives of others to teach others what they believe, then by their same logic, I have just as much of a right to do so myself, sharing my beliefs.

I am having a hard time understanding why members of the Church are unable to acknowledge that this discrimination exists in the Church, and are unwilling to consider the possibility that some of its members feel completely out of place.

Why can't we be more willing to open our minds and hearts, and treat these individuals with the respect they deserve?

What gives you the right to imply that I am an apostate?

You close-minded mormons, you assume that every uncomfortable statement comes from an apostate, or anti-mormon.

I am NOT an anti-mormon, or an apostate, and how dare you for implying such.

I believe in the doctrine of the LDS Church with all my heart, except I don't believe that our current General Authorities are called of God. I see too much order in the system that allows them to be next in line, and it makes me sick.

That is why I believe that someday, these fallible Apostles will give in to the mainstream, and allow men to be sealed to men.

It makes sense, don't you think?

I wouldn't go as far as to call you an apostate, or anti-Mormon, because as you stated this is your belief and you are not preaching it to others as though it is true. The statement, however, is contradictory, because you can't believe in the LDS doctrine, and hold the notion that the church does not follow it's own teachings in having men called of God at its head.

What are your possible reasons for thinking you know how I truly believe? You don't see me telling you how you "should" believe.

Let me put it this way. I am going to believe in the LDS Church the way I feel inspired to believe. Nobody, especially you, has the right to tell me I am being "contradictory".

Are you so rigid, that you honestly believe that a person cannot believe in the LDS Doctrine without sustaining current General Authorities?

All I am saying, is that the way I feel, I wouldn't be surprised at all if our current General Authorities gave into social pressure, and allowed men to be sealed to men. I am not telling you to think this way. This is just how I feel.

I would love to be proven wrong, by the way, but nothing anybody has said to me has been compelling enough to change the way I feel.

By stating that I am being contradictory, goes against what I believe. So by pointing out that I am being contradictory is, essentially, trying to deny me the right to believe how I will.

Where did you get the idea that you have to play "the ridiculous charade that whatever I believe is right"?

You don't have to believe what I say is right. You just have to keep your mouth shut if you are going to say something that entails that the way a person is believing is wrong.

You people really need to stop calling individuals with differing views apostates, or implying that they are ones.

Do you honestly think that is going to make them feel any better about mormons?

Why else do you think there are so many anti-mormons?

Since when did being Christlike become unheard of from its members?

The reason we have such contention is because people with differing views have sought support here, but rather than helping them, you have implied that they are apostates, and used scriptural references implying that God is very displeased with them.

I wonder who is really being defensive here.

That post was intellectually lacking. The only absolute- as it relates to religion, is that homosexuality is condemned by scripture and consequently by God. If you would like to base your choices on those of monkeys and emulate them- be my guest. As for adam and eve- all mankind are to be prototypes of adam and eve- and therby gain exaltation, ergo (that means therefore btw) we should all be like them. Now regarding your next comment, i've bit my tongue quite a bit;

Just because a lot of people frown upon homosexuality, does not mean that homosexuality is an outrageous concept. I'm sure the monkeys figured it out, and accepted it in, oh I don't know, 3 generations. Yet humans have yet to accept it. Makes me wonder if humans won't evolve into monkeys someday.

I frown upon homosexuality because there is nothing good about it- as does God, and almost all organized religion for that matter. The fact that monkeys have somehow rationally chosen to accept homosexuality because it is the " humane" thing to do is a ridiculous argument- I hope you can easily comprehend the absurdity of what you just wrote. As for this quote

Simply put homosexuality is not an intellectual experience. Long story short- homosexuality is simply sin, stop glamorizing it and making it more than it is. The entire basis of your argument is that I should be more considerate of the glbt population- and if I am critical I am wrong, while at the same time the glbt population can say and do as they please and substitute their " feelings" as an acceptable excuse for deplorable actions and attitudes.

Your rhetoric is as convincing as the latest "win a million dollars" ad. It implies that attitudes towards a more tolerant society are deplorable. Your reasonings behind your arguments are arguments are anything but intellectual, or open-minded.

Close-mindedness, of which I am pretty sure you are, does not allow room for alternatives, or exceptions. How is seeing the world through a restrictive lens intellectually rational?

My point, is that in your efforts to criticize my IQ level, and ability to make an argument, you fail to acknowledge your bias towards the lens you live your life looking out of every day. If you would just open your mind towards alternatives, and accept individuals who are homosexual, rather than vote for a proposition that causes them to feel discriminated against, you might be more credible in your attacks.

The individuals that it seems you have mentioned, that are isolated (people with views conflicting LDS doctrine, GLTB, feminists, and intellectuals that disagree with the church) have isolated themselves by pushing away from God and his church.

There are many others views here that have no basis (to obtain the celestial kingdom, a man must enter into the covenant of plural marriage) and views that just don't make sense. I don't have time to go through it all right now, but I'll get to it later.

Last night I responded to some of the topics posted on the boards, and ALL of them got deleted!

One topic was: "How has anti-mormon literature affected you?"

My response was: "Anti-mormon literature has caused me to investigate things about the Church I was not taught growing up, and being highly disturbed by what I found, I realized I was a member of a cult for the past 22 years."

Hmmm,... Looks like FB has changed what happens when you ban someone. Normally when I've banned someone in the past I'd have to go around and delete all their posts. About a month ago I noticed that banning them deleted their wall postings but haven't had a "troll" on the boards in a while.

I htink I'd prefer to have an option as to whether or not to delete posts or not.

My response: "According to whom? You? Thomas Monson? Joseph Smith?"

Zachary, stop trying to derail threads. Your question is redundant, he mentioned exactly who's eyes he's talking about.

So, basically it is impossible to try to have any discussion on the internet with avid mormon apologists, because they delete any post you have which they feel threatened by in any way! I think this says more about the Church itself than ever before! The Church is a damn cult, and those who support it who know everything about it try to hide the truth from anyone and everyone!

Being Bullied Constantly in High School By TBMs!

Anybody who believes that TBMs (true believing mormons) are Christian, and kind, are just fooling themselves, to a fault.

Here is my story.

I was a TBM my entire life, and was bullied, lied about, harassed verbally and sexually, betrayed, and threatened with my life by other TBMs who felt I was not living worthily enough. Keep in mind, I was not an anti-mormon then, or ever said ANYTHING contrary to the teachings of the Brethren!

I went to Timpview High School, in Provo, Utah. During my four years there, I experienced an indescribable amount of anger, fury, depression, and bitterness towards my peers, who were TBM nazi's, and started a rumor that I was gay, and masturbated wildly.

The rumor of my masturbation problem started in Junior High School, and I suppose got spread from there to my high school, or was just spread amongst my classmates, who moved on to high school. Whatever.

I was in the band, and felt very committed to it. I would later find out that the Timpview High School Band Program was and is a cult, but not nearly as destructive as the Mormon cult.

My freshman year, TBM seniors in this band program would grab me, drag me, and throw me in the snow. These same TBM seniors who were aspiring to go on a mission that next year! I was shocked and very embarrassed! They also threw me in the band trash can as well!

Then I had a friend in my same grade who was the biggest TBM hypocrite I had ever come across up to that point. He had a girlfriend who was just as equally hypocritical, and they would harass anybody who they believed had a masturbation problem! They heard about my masturbation problem, and began telling me in person that "The seminary principal would not be happy if he found out about your masturbation problem." THEN one day they came up to me and said, "We told the seminary principal that you can't stop masturbating. You will be hearing from him soon!"

That evening I received an email from these TBM bullies, who claimed to be the seminary principal. His emails said, "It has come to my knowledge that you have a problem with masturbation. This is outrageous! You are going to Hell! You need to repent and confess to the bishop immediately! Are you gay? I'd bet you are!" (Hmm... I wonder where they got this logic from! Spencer W. Kimball?!)

I ignored it, and kept getting more emails like, "Hey! Why won't you respond! This is not a joke! This is very serious! You need to repent and stop masturbating!"

The FINAL email, which was absolutely horrendous in its sexual nature was, "Zach Stevenson. This is your seminary principal. Your masturbation problem is absurd! You just don't get it! Well, actually, I am feeling pretty horny right now. Maybe you can come to my office and have sex with me! Your masturbation may be evil, but it is so hot! Come get it on with me Zach! I am sooo horny!"

I typed in the girl's first name who was behind these emails as the password to the email address, and behold! I got in! I read the emails her boyfriend sent her to this email, and I was astonished at the hypocrisy! One was sent right after the Priesthood session!

"Hey Brittany, I just got back from the Priesthood Session of General Conference. It was great listening to these old men, who teach not to masturbate! LOL!"

This story, alone, proves that TBMs in Provo, Utah, have serious hypocrisy issues, and need to get checked! This is absurd!

During my seminary class, there was a TBM, a TBM nazi at that, who kept telling me I was of Satan because I didn't always pay attention, and I got so fed up with his constant harassment, I swore, and that just fueled his harassment! He was NOT the only TBM who harassed me in that class though!

I opened up my hymn book, and started singing the wrong verse accidentally, and the TBM sitting next to me punched me in the arm, and scolded, "Sing the right verse!"

In that same class, we were shown Johnny Lingo, and I had never seen it before, and I was laughing at it, and ANOTHER TBM turned to me and said, "Shut up! That is not funny!" and he kept being sarcastic with me, "Oh yeah, that is really funny!"

That was 9th grade. Trust me, it gets worse, ESPECIALLY my 10th grade experience. I would say that I was practically tortured by TBMs in 10th grade, and I was NOT even an anti-mormon!

My 10th grade seminary teacher, first semester, was a horrible, horrible human being. He practically kissed Kimball's ass, and taught that masturbation was the same as homosexuality, and should be taken very seriously. This might have planted the seeds in people's minds that because I supposedly had a masturbation problem, I also had a homosexual problem.

I cannot tell you how many times my 10th grade year I was asked if I masturbate, and asked if I was gay. People would go around and say I was gay, and had a very small dick! These were TBMs! Aspiring missionaries and full tithe payers once they get jobs! This was completely laughable!

During my auto class, which is the second part of driver's ed, a group of my classmates were talking about me, and one guy told me to come over, so I did. When I got there, they asked, "Do you pleasure yourself?" I said, "Excuse me?" They said, "Do you masturbate?!" I pretty much ignored them, and they kept badgering me. "Do you masturbate?!" They even grabbed my shoulders, and shook me very hard, asking, "Do you masturbate!" I lost it, and replied, "Yes! I masturbate! Leave me alone!"

Then I went to my seminary class, and my teacher had a water gun, and he turned to me, and sprayed me for no reason whatsoever for about 10 seconds! My scriptures got soaked! I mean, what the fuck? This seminary teacher is a piece of shit! There is no excuse. This man was nothing but filth and garbage!

One other incident in seminary, from the same doucebag, was when he was explaining this dream interpretation book a student gave to him. He was going through common dream themes. I raised my hand, and asked, "Can I have one of my dreams interpreted?" He turned to me, and replied, "Absolutely not! I don't want to expose this class to your sick and twisted dreams!" He must have heard the rumor that I masturbate.

Another incident in seminary was when I came to class wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and he turned to me and asked, "Why do you look like a black KKK member?" If you are not thoroughly disgusted by this human being, then you have serious problems.

This seminary teacher's name was Brother Fletcher by the way. I don't remember his first name, but this man was so disrespectful, hate-filled, and evil, I am not going to protect his identity. He taught seminary at Timpview High School. I wouldn't be surprised if ends up rotting in Hell when he dies, if there is a Hell.

Later that semester, I was talking to someone in my auto class, and the same girl who asked me if I masturbated earlier, slugged me in the arm for no reason, and didn't even say anything. Actions speak louder than words! It was because she was a TBM nazi!

Now, my U.S. History class. The same guy who harassed me via email the previous year was in my History class. Things were so bad in this class, I got permission to switch classes. This kid threw hard candy at me, slammed my head against the wall, kicked me, punched me in the stomach, bashed a filled balloon against the edge of my glasses and popped it, and finally, threatened to drive by my house and blow my fucking brains out. All this, because he believed I had a masturbation problem, and MUST have been, in his words, a "faggot".

So I transferred out of that particular US History class, and got into my new one. Some girl behind me a few chairs saw who I was, said, "Zach Stevenson?" with an annoyed tone. I looked back, and she hid her face from me. One of her friends turned to me and said, "She hates you Zach, don't look at her." I didn't even know who she was! She was a die hard TBM though, who heard I masturbate.

During this semester, I ate lunch with some gothics who were complete outcasts from everyone and anyone who went to Timpview High School, so maybe this contributed to my notoriousness for being a servant of Satan. But even some of the gothics hated me because I was actually a TBM, so I couldn't win no matter what! My gothic friend did testify in my behalf to the school police officer that this kid who threatened my life was terrorizing me constantly. He was a good guy, even though everyone thought he was the devil. He actually tried to commit suicide multiple times, because he was so rejected by TBMs!

Then there was my math class. I got another verbal threat to my life from a die hard TBM who thought I was annoying! He told me, "I am going to open your mouth and put it over the curb, and stomp on your head as hard as I can!" That is very graphic, and violent! Two other bullies in that class grabbed me, dragged me, threw me outside, and locked me out! I had to walk into the front entrance, and explain myself to a hall monitor nazi, who thought I was sluffing class! My math teacher didn't give a damn! He actually yelled at me just because I was being bullied! That is what horrible teachers do when they don't know how to intervene on a bully victim's behalf! They contribute to it! This teacher was a TBM as well!

On another occasion in my math class, I was thrown to the ground, and my face was stepped on. All from different TBMs who ended up going on an "honorable full time mission", and were children or relatives of prominent men in the Quorums of the 12 and 70! This was unbelievable!

Now we go to my 11th grade year. This is the year I became friends with the grandson of Dallin H. Oaks, of the Quorum of the Twelve apostles. Believe me, the things that this friends said to me were pretty horrible, and should hopefully disgust you.

This grandson of Oaks would continually ask me if I am going to confess to my bishop that I masturbate, in a "you need to" fashion. He would tell me that I shouldn't swear, and that I needed to get over my problem with depression. Well gee! I wonder why I was so damn depressed in High School!

Dallin Oak's grandson asked me, "Are you going on a mission?" When I told him no, he freaked out and said, "Why not? If you don't, you break God's commandments! If one of your hero's told you to serve a mission would you?" He would tell me, "You are never going to get married. Ever. I am always right." Then he told me about a road-trip he was planning with his other friends, and he said, "This roadtrip will take place when you are on your mission. And if you are not on your mission, you do not deserve to go."

I mean, come on, where do you think he got all of this from? Probably the bigotry of his grandfather!

My 12th grade year was fairly decent. The rumors sort of died, and I guess the bullies moved on to other TBMs who were not keeping their baptismal covenants.

After high school, however, a lot of my female friends stopped talking to me altogether for unknown reasons, but I highly suspect it was because I was smart enough not to go on a mission.

I do have several experiences post-high school from TBM's, some even members of bishoprics, which I find to be absolutely disgusting! Here are some I can think of. Keep in mind, I was never an anti-mormon at all, and NEVER said anything to indicate that I thought counter to the teachings of the brethren!

• I gave my sacrament meeting talk during the "High School senior" talks that our bishop decided to do. I got a lot of feedback like, "Thanks for your talk." I even got a letter thanking me for it. But one of my priest quorum leaders came up to me and said, "Your talk was the shortest! You obviously didn't prepare enough!"
• I visited one of my friend's singles ward, and the first counselor to the bishopric walked up to me, and asked me point blank, "Where did you go on a mission?" That was his first question! No, "What's your name?" or nothing! And TBMs say that the Church is NOT obsessed with missionary work?!
• I was at a dinner that a TBM friend invited me to, and her mother asked during dinner, "Did you go on a mission?" and I said, "no". Immediately the table went silent, everyone looked down in disappointment, and she seemed less interested in talking to me.
• I gave a girl in my student ward a ride home, she asked me, "Did you go on a mission?" and I said, "No." and she freaked out saying, "A mission is a big deal! Are you going to go?" I replied, "No." Then things got really awkward, and she said, "A mission is a commandment of God, and you didn't go? Are you okay?"
• Some guy in my ward found out I was not an RM, and he said, "Wow, I honestly thought you were an RM. This is really surprising!"
• On a date I was asked, "Did you go on a mission?" I replied, "No", and my date freaked out, and yelled, "No?!" She ended it there. I guess she must have realized she was embarrassing herself.
• I was at a guy's apartment at a ward party, and one of the guys lectured to me, "If you go on a mission you will never regret it. Why didn't you go? You do realize that you can do other kinds of missions, right? If you don't think you can go on a mission, you should go on another kind of mission!"
• During an institute class, the teacher said, "Shame on any man who does not go on a mission!"
• On my 21st birthday, some guy said, trying to be funny, "Emily here will take you out (beat you up) if you drink." She replied, "Yeah, I know tae-bo." She was serious! She would have to! Unbelievable!
• I was at a party in 2008 before the presidential election, and I mentioned that I was planning on not voting for Mitt Romney, and they said, "You shouldn't be allowed to vote."
• This girl from my high school who had a crush on me sent me an email when she found out I was not going to go on a mission. She said, "Zach, you could have told me you weren't going to go on a mission. I am very disappointed, but I wouldn't have been too mad if you just told me."
• I talked to a non mormon visiting Provo for the first time, and I told her that I didn't go on a mission, and she said, "Holy cow! That is such a big deal! I'd bet you have a hard time fitting in!" - BINGO
• At work, one of my co-workers who just got back from a mission spent about fifteen minutes asking me questions like, "What's it like not going on a mission?" "I'd bet it's a huge trial to not go on a mission!"
• Another guy who recently got back from a mission said, "Come on Zach, you can go on a mission!"
• When I mentioned that I did not serve a mission in my singles ward, my bishop said, "You know, I have a son who didn't go on a mission, and I actually stopped loving him! For a long time I didn't love him!" Unbelievable!
• The same girl who said she would use tae-bo on me if I drank, told me that if I cheated at a card game we were playing, she would have someone beat me up.
• A TBM nazi in my ward, seeing that my hair was "too long", kept harassing me about getting a haircut. "You need to get a haircut! When are you going to get a haircut?!"

Also, I had an interview with my bishop when I was about 16, and he asked me point blank, "Do you have a problem with masturbation?" I was reminded of all the wannabe TBM bishops at my high school asking me that same problem, over and over again, and I was shocked that he would do the same thing!

If any of you who have read this are a TBM, please tell me how the Mormon Church does not create a very evil, horrible, judgmental, violent cult environment that is VERY destructive if you differ in any way, even if it is just a rumor!

The Mormon Church is a very evil cult, and they have never apologized for people like me who have been bullied and demonized in the name of God, and they NEVER WILL!

I am hoping that the General Authorities will read this story, and MABYE get it locked into their brain that the environment in Utah County is horrible, nazi-like, and goes against the basic doctrines they claim to represent, which is also a damn lie.

I feel like because of everything I have gone through, I am 100 percent justified in doing what I can to bring down this cult, and my conscience will be able to sleep perfectly well at night.

Leaving the Church Alone?

So apparently Church Members who do not appreciate the doings of "anti-mormons" ask them to just leave it alone.

What they don't understand, is most of us have been active Church members for most of our lives. We were faithful. Then one day we discovered that Joseph Smith had MULTIPLE accounts of his "First Vision", which were all completely different from one another, and then we discovered that he married girls as young as 14, 15, and 16! In addition, he was marrying other men's wives!

So, being shaken up a bit, we asked ourselves, "Well, maybe the beginning was fraudulent, but over time the Church evolved into the True Church". Sounds good until one listens to Gordon B. Hinckley being interviewed on national television.

He said that polygamy is NOT doctrinal, that we don't teach that men will become Gods, and that he has no idea why the Church did not permit blacks to receive the priesthood until 1978. Uh, how about racism pal?

There you have it, a prophet of God lying on national television.

Basically we have been defrauded, and our entire worlds have come apart, so we are a bit pissed off. We refuse to just sit back and allow the Mormon Cult, which is a CULT, to simply keep defrauding its members without somewhat of a fight.

I suggest all you TBM's out there who are infuriated with this blog, or similar blogs, read the Journal of Discourses by your "beloved" Prophet Brigham Young, and then tell me if his comments were not hate filled and bigoted.

Praise to the Man

Think about. Praise to the Man. Doesn't that phrase alone entail some form of worship?

Well, carefully examining the lyrics will entail total unadulterated worship of Joseph Smith!

Even if Joseph Smith never did all the evil deeds he did, he is not worthy of worshiping. Doing so goes against "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me"!

Just because the Mormon Prophet was killed, and he happened to mean a lot to Brigham Young, doesn't mean that Church Leaders have the right to create oaths of vengeance, and hymns that go beyond simply revering a "good man".
